If you’re looking for a bit of real Scotland, you’re in the right place. Here at Born in Scotland, we don’t sell the tartan tat that other gift shops pass off as Scottish. We do Scotland properly, with all its brilliant creativity, humor and wit. Our designers and suppliers are the very best this amazing nation has to offer, and we seek out gifts that actually speak to people about the Scotland they know and love.
Our Story
Our story is simple. We wanted to create gifts shops that we as Scots would want to shop in. Our first one opened in Edinburgh in 2019, and since then, our eclectic mix of Scottish humour, design, and gallus wee products have seen us open stores in Glasgow, Stirling and Livingston as well. It’s been an amazing journey, and we have met some extraordinary and super talented Scots along the way.

Our designers and suppliers mess about with Scottish icons like Tunnocks and Irn Bru, they put a modern twist on nostalgic Scottish brands like Oor Wullie, Creamola Foam and The Broons, and they create a fresh, modern take on the vagaries of everyday Scottish life, from midges to the weather, and from politics to Trainspotting.
Our Promise
Not everybody can visit one of our stores. And that’s why we started our website. We want to be as accessible to everyone as possible. But if you’re shopping for a gift, we know that you probably want two things: first, for it to be brilliant, and secondly, for it to be delivered on time!
